The Cathodes

The Cathodes are a four-piece synth-pop band from the Tameside area of Manchester in the United Kingdom. The band are influenced by the melodies and sounds from the 80s with a small dash of the 60s thrown in. Although a relatively new band (coming up with the name in 2020), all members have extensive past experience playing both live and recording. The Cathodes are on former EMI executive Fred Cannon's label - Creative and Dreams Music Network, LLC®.

A special charity edition of "Next Christmas" will be released on Friday 13th November 2026, in support of Soldiers Off The Street, a charity dedicated to helping homeless and vulnerable veterans of the British Armed Forces. The release will be available as a two-track CD single, featuring "In From The Cold (Acoustic Mix)" as an additional B-side. A USB edition will also be available, containing both songs in MP3 format, together with their accompanying music videos.
